This application came about due to the fact that rolling the end of the pretipped extensions was getting a bad name on the extensions market.
This was due to the rolling method causing friction to the clients scalp due to the extension prebond being rolled right around the hair strand.
This makes the hair strand quite fragile especially if the hair strand is not in a proper v section and not enough hair is attached to the keratin, therefore this method has been known for hair loss especially when applied incorrectly by inexperienced technicians and to hair in poor or fragile condition.
Due to the fact that the keratin is rolled right around the hair strand it also makes it a lot harder for removal, this being one of the reasons the flat technique was created.
Our method of application is simple, sits flatter on the hair strand and is easier at removal time causing no friction at all to the clients natural hair, this is mainly because we place our keratin tip on top of the clients hair strand allowing the keratin to grow with the hair down the hair shaft.
The flat method is also better for finer hair types due to the fact that it is sitting lightly on top of the hair strand without pulling at the scalp.
Socap Australia does not promote non hairdressers to try doing extensions at home or copying our techniques. Our extension applications require the expertise of a qualified hairdresser whom has completed an extension course with our company/or other company.
