The hair used by Socap Original for Hair Extension comes from India and is 100% natural. The choice of using Indian hair has resulted from the fact that European and Chinese hair is unfit for the kind of application required. European hair, mostly coming from Northern countries, is very thin and fragile and it has often already undergone chemical processes such as bleaching, pressing or perms; Chinese hair is too thick and therefore it is not compatible with our hair and is unfit for extentions. |
Finally there is Indian hair, of which two kinds are offered on the market. One comes from the collection of the hair remained in brushes, and it is obvious that it will include hair of different quality, length, thickness and colour.
Furthermore, the scales, representing the basic structure of the hair, will be inevitably ranged in different directions; therefore, in order to be employed, this hair has to undergo an aggressive chemical process that destroys the cuticle and leaves the hair dull and fragil
The other comes instead from women donating their hair during Hindu rituals in temples; in this case the locks are tied before being cut. In this way, the hair will include locks of one kind and colour.
The scales of its cuticle will also be arranged all in the same direction from the root to the tip. This is the kind of hair we import this kind of hair and, once in our laboratories, we process it with the natural remys hair system. It is an exclusive system that respects the nature of the hair, keeping its characteristics unchanged in time.
It consists of applying a keratin layer at the top of each lock. 95% of your hair is made up of keratin protein just like your skin and nails, so by applying a keratin layer on top of each hair lock, we are respecting the nature of the hair as keratin allows your own hair to grow with the extension whilst it is attached to your hair
On the top of each lock Original Socap adopts a thin sheet of keratin, that unlike silicone, allows to respect the hair since the keratin itself is of its own component.
Keratin is a remarkable protein which forms the hair, nails and outer layer of the skin, its function is to cover these areas and protect them from wear and tear. Soft keratins are found in the skin and are relatively easy to break down. Hard keratins are found in hair fiber and they are very resistant to degradation( breaking down) , it behaves just like our hair which means keratin is compatible with heat and water ensuring it will not deteriorate under these conditions. Keratin expands when wet and closes up when dry just like our hair cuticles do when water or heat is applied.
Keratin is specific for the hair extension as it improves the application making it simple and careful. Keratin is the same colour of the hair lock which allows a perfect application: completely invisible and without "flaws".
